Lords of Middle-earth War of the Ring - Lords of Middle-earth is an expansion to the War of the Ring Second Edition boardgame, a grand-strategic simulation of Tolkien’s “THE LORD OF THE RINGS” trilogy. In this expansion you will find everything you need to add some of the most powerful (and some not so powerful) beings from the third age of Middle-earth to your War of the Ring Second Edition board game. The Lords of Middle-earth expansion brings even more focus on the choices available to the players: The three Elven Rings of Power is focused on by opening up the possibility for the Free Peoples to openly use the powers of these Rings, and their bearers, in the struggle against the Shadow. This however comes with added risks as revealing these Rings to Sauron means that they will draw unwanted attention from the Dark Lord of Mordor. Additional and alterantive Characters are introduced to make the routes chosen by each player to achieve victory in the War of the Ring more varied. New Event Cards add additional Events and Combat effects, and refine some of the existing ones, to adapt to the new elements provided by the expansion.
